About the methods

The Pantarei Approach is an intuitive bodywork method that involves empathic conversation and touch, as well as breathing and movement. It's meant to deepen a mind-body connection and help you get in touch with yourself - your experiences, needs, longings and resources - in order to support you in your life.

Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy is a gentle, experiential approach to therapy. It’s an invitation to bring a compassionate and curious attitude to your internal experiences, uncovering and transforming unconscious patterns. This process leads to greater self-understanding, acceptance and emotional resilience, helping you to navigate life with more ease, clarity and harmony.

What to expect

In Pantarei, we talk together about the experiences, concerns, challenges and longings you wish to explore, then continue the conversation through touch (on a table, sometimes seated or standing), intuitively following your body to explore and support what wants to be experienced. You are encouraged to sense into your body, breathe, and follow any expression or impulse that arises. Afterwards, you will have time to rest and integrate the experience.

In Hakomi, together we pay attention to your present experience. We take time to ask what your body knows, not just what you think and how you feel.
I may gently bring your awareness to any sensations, habitual movements or impulses that naturally arise in you, also setting up little explorations in mindfulness. Once you see and understand your habitual ways of being, we can find ways to integrate needed experiences missing when you were young. These new experiences help reorganize your system, enabling you to change patterns that no longer serve you.

Working with the body can sometimes include the use of touch, both physical and imagined. Touch used is always nonsexual, done in mindfulness with your permission, and in service of the therapeutic process. Real or imagined, if it doesn’t feel comfortable for any reason, we don’t have to use it. You may decline or withdraw consent at any time.

The first session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and subsequent sessions usually last 60 minutes.
Sessions typically take place on a weekly or biweekly basis.

About me

Coming from a background in education and caregiving, I found myself constantly seeing the needs and sufferings of children, parents and staff, longing for the ability to support them. Through this and my own personal process, I felt called to become a therapist.
I deeply value mindfulness, nonviolence and the body, recognizing their importance in life and in therapy, for both clients and practitioners alike, and they have become fundamental to my practices.
Certified in The Pantarei Approach, I'm currently deepening my understanding through a four-year Hakomi therapist program. Additionally, I guide mindfulness and also movement meditation combining dance and somatic therapy. I'm also dedicated to incorporating Nonviolent Communication principles into my life and work, and promoting awareness and harm reduction in nightlife communities. In my practice, every person is welcome and valued, irrespective of their background or beliefs.

I offer a sliding scale to accommodate different financial circumstances.

While many believe that the success of therapy depends on a particular approach, research shows that the quality of our relationship is the most significant factor in healing. Feeling genuinely understood, cared for, and accepted is crucial for a successful therapeutic alliance. Although training and experience are important, they don’t guarantee a perfect fit. As with any relationship, spending time together is the best way to determine if we’re a good match. I recommend starting with a couple of sessions to see if my approach resonates with you.
